  • Farming is still an important way of life in Le Marche.
  • There are eighty olive trees in the grove of varying ages - typically this yields over 100 litres of extra virgin olive oil.
  • The olives trees in the grove are almost all Piantone di Mogliano - a common Le Marche variety.
  • The quality of this extra virgin olive oil is superior to anything that you can buy in a shop.
  • The olive press is in the village and can be seen from the house. Harvest is from mid-November to mid-December.
  • There are around 200 vines - half red grapes, half white. In a good year these will produce over 300 litres of wine.
  • Grape harvest is typically in late-September, and the wine-making process is all done at the house.
  • All the wine-making and olive harvesting equipment will remain at the house.
  • There are six established walnut, three cherry, four fig, two persimmon, two pear and several apple and plum trees.
  • A local farmer can be employed to look after the land, either for a fee, or for a percentage of the produce.
